Don't let the words "Flour Moth Trap" confuse you.  These traps are made to stop the moths that come from bird food and other food substances, without using potentially dangerous pesticides.  We have used this product for several years and it works.  The trap uses an attractant that mimics the female moth pheromone; the male moths are attracted to the scent and trapped by the sticky pad inside, so the moths cannot reproduce (see full description below).  It comes in a package of two traps:

The Flour Moth Trap attracts and captures adult male flour moths such as Indian meal moth, Mediterranean flour moth, almond moth and raisin moth. These moths occur almost everywhere, and are attracted by food. The moths lay eggs on or near the food, such as in shelving and cupboards, hidden in cracks and crevices.

Adult moths emerge and seek mates. The Springstar Flour Moth Trap uses the same biochemical (pheromone) that female moths use to attract male moths for mating. Male moths are drawn by the scent and caught on the capture pad. Removing male moths prevents mating and egg laying. Long term use of the Flour Moth Trap will reduce troubling infestations without the use of toxic chemicals.
